The Amazing Word of God

Read the bible like your life depends on it...whether you read it or not, it does.

Consider all of the commentaries written about it...just the commentaries. If you or I wrote a commentary on the Scriptures (which seems an absurd task just for the enormity of the work), someone, somewhere would be able to add to what was said there. Even if what we wrote was entirely accurate someone would be able to see something more, because that's the way God intended it to be. There's ALWAYS more! His Word is personal, living, apropos, up to date, currently applicable, and therefore unable to be bound. Yet, this is exactly what has happened. We divvied up the commentary of great men of God, and great scholars and bound ourselves to their point of view, which although largely accurate in most cases, is still woefully inadequate. When we limit our understanding to a particular doctrinal view, we necessarily limit God, who cannot be, and is not ever limited. We, therefore succeed in limiting only ourselves.

God has brilliantly provided us with a Book that is able communicate His heart to us as individuals, and yet at the same time to His Corporate Body. It's small enough to be manageable, while it is also limitless and unfathomable in it's ability to teach us everything we need to know about life and godliness. His Word has an obvious Author, Who maintains a continuity of thought over thousands of years. Sixty six books, written by forty men, moved by the Holy Spirit, enable the reader to explore the height, the depth, the width, and the breadth of the mind of God.

The Scriptures illustrate God's mind and purposes in the Old Testament lives of real people, and the New Testament is the explanation of what those pictures mean. From beginning to end God speaks one message of Love. It is the Story of how God made flesh and blood into a glorious spiritual Bride for Himself. It is the story of what He desired to do, how He desired to do it, the people He used to bring about His desire, our own inability to help, the mediation of the Lord Jesus, the empowerment and transformation by the Holy Spirit to do the work, and the future glory of His purpose and intent for His Bride at His second Coming. When the disciples were asked if they would also leave the Lord, they answered, "to whom could we go? Thou alone hast the Words of eternal life". Our Lord is the Word made flesh. He has magnified His Word above His Name! How we need to attend to it and let it transform us…nothing else will do.

A More Excellent Way

If our journey through life is compared to a maze, we tend to rail against the boundaries and we sometimes get stuck as we make our way to the goal. But we keep trying, and eventually, we find our way out. A lot of people in this present age have called for the removal of the boundaries, thinking that without them there would be no obstructions and that the goal would be easier to obtain. But, it doesn't work that way, instead of being easier to reach the goal some wander aimlessly having lost all direction, and some fall off the board altogether. The goal becomes just a point in time. Turns out that those annoying boundaries are essential in directing us to the way out, and ridding ourselves of them is a big mistake.
The Bible speaks about life being a maze. The words "now we see through a glass darkly" describe a conundrum…a maze. What we are experiencing in this life is a riddle. It's fuzzy. We would like to see clearly…to understand, but we cannot. God has put boundaries in place that frustrate our plans. We are funneled through life anyway like it or not. But there is a better way, a "more excellent way" that can be applied to life. Contrary to popular belief it's not attained by throwing off restraint, but by believing that God knows the way and that we can trust Him to navigate the maze. Every boundary is designed to protect us and others…that's love. And love is the more excellent way. When we understand that, we understand the rest, that God is at work and we can relax. We don't have to engage in the struggle that so many people are entangled with day by day. We don't have to fight God, we don't have to try and remove the boundaries! If we love Him and we love each other (doing the right thing for our family and neighbors), the light comes on and we can see! Life begins to make sense.
We live in a society that has done nothing else over the last century than to try and get rid of God's boundaries. More recently, it seems that they have succeeded in calling up, down; good, bad; right, wrong; and in trying to undermine and redefine everything that God has said and done. And He has let them do it. He 'chooses their delusions'. But in the ensuing chaos we have destroyed our children. They are the fallout. They have to deal with the outcome of the decisions made by their elders. We, could not as adults, deal with life as it was, but they as children are left to deal with a whole new world without rules or direction or help. They blindly feel about for an anchor, or float somewhere beneath the board in confusion and hopelessness. A once reasonable goal has receded into oblivion. What was simple is not bearable. They are left in a fearful world without boundaries, worse than any maze. They are asked to comprehend the burdens of adulthood while encouraged to remain children in every practical way. Too many simply take their own lives, and sometimes they take the lives of others as well.
When will this Nation repent? Stay in the maze! Let the old boundaries suffice. Trust in God's order and that He knows how to get you to the end. This society is not going to get better. They are characterized by lawlessness, hubris, and ignorance. They have become blind leaders of the blind. But, although God has given us space to repent, the warnings are everywhere that that space is about to close. The Enemy has not left off in trying to coerce us all into their way of thinking. They are pounding down the door and are willing to stop at nothing to have their way. The interesting thing is that God says they will have it. So, no utopia is coming until the Lord Jesus sets up His Kingdom. All those that side with Him need to understand what is coming. Gird up your loins, put up the shield of faith, trust that He knows the way, and don't take your eyes off of Him.

Thursday, September 7, 2017

Dear Neighbor, I want to do everything possible to communicate to as many people as I can regarding some very alarming events that will have a huge impact on our community, the State, the Nation and the World.  My intention here is to let you know what is happening, so that you will be able to prepare, and that you will not be taken by surprise. The Bible says that God has given us signposts to help us look up when the time for His coming draws near at the end of this Age.  A great many people, today, across a wide spectrum of perspectives, believe that we are in the 'last days'. The signs that the whole world have been looking for are converging in September of 2017. Many of you that receive this letter, may be acquainted with what I am saying. But, I am concerned because some refuse to listen to any of these things, they don't want to be upset, and since false alarms have sounded so often by well-meaning folks anxious for the Lord's return, I get their drift. But NOW, because of technology, events are happening in such a way that were previously impossible to perceive.  In the Old Testament Book of Daniel, we are told that some things would be 'sealed up' until the "time of the end". And now, for the first time, we have computer software that enables the user to view the heavenly bodies, past, present, and future. That, coupled with a mystery recently revealed, allows us to finally pinpoint the time to expect the Lord's return with a great deal of confidence. This shouldn't really be surprising because we are told in Amos 3:7, "Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets".  God has Watchmen, who are together rising up to warn us that the Lord's coming is no longer in the uncertain future, but very near indeed.

The Bible says that there is a Great Wonder, a MYSTERY that has been kept hidden until now. After the Lord Jesus ascended into Heaven, He spoke to the Apostle John on the Isle of Patmos and gave him the Book of Revelation. The Revelation was given to the Lord by the Father, and then to John, so the time of His coming, though previously hidden, is now revealed just like the Angel told the Prophet Daniel it would be. Using the aforementioned software some who've been studying the Great Wonder (found in Revelation 12) discovered that the heavenly bodies, as described there, only come together once in human history. Using the software to go back 6,000 years and forward another thousand, this great sign only appears on September 23, 2017. Every year, the moon is at the feet of Virgo, and the Sun is at her head, but the crown of 12 stars is only found once, as is the planet Jupiter in her 'womb' for the human gestation period of 9 months, coming out of her 'womb' on September 23, 2017. That in itself is shocking. But, the crown is the constellation Leo and it only has 9 stars, until this year (on September 23), when three Planets (that the Scriptures call 'wandering stars') join it, on September 23! The constellation Virgo depicts the Nation of Israel, the man child depicts the CHURCH (which is His Body), and the Dragon represents the Beast system at her feet. The established interpretation of this event placed it in the past with the Virgin Mary represented by Virgo, Christ represented by Jupiter (the King Planet), and the Anti-Christ represented by the Dragon at her feet. But, bear in mind that the whole Book of Revelation is FUTURE. The Woman is defined, (elsewhere in Scripture) as Israel, and if one entity is corporate, the remaining entities must also be corporate. For a complete exegesis of these things, Google Scott Clarke and the Rev 12 sign. His videos are excellent, and he is the person it was revealed to first.
OK. That's phenomenal all by itself, but it's just the beginning!

Secondly, you need to know that when God tells us in Genesis 1:14 that the Lights He created in the Heavens were to be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and for years…", the word for 'seasons' in the Hebrew means an 'appointed season', or a 'set feast'. Most Gentile people are not acquainted with the Feast Days of Israel. But, since the Church is 'grafted into' Israel (Romans 11:17), her history is equally important to us. When we begin to understand God's calendar as revealed to them, you have to stand amazed.  I Cor 10:11, "Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come". That's astounding! We are then, instructed to look at what 'happened to them', that is Israel. God gave Israel seven Feast Days, which turn out to be prophetic in nature. They foreshadow God's Plans for the this Dispensation (or Age). Four of them have already been fulfilled, in order, and on the exact day they occurred. The Lord's death was foreshadowed by the Feast of the Passover, and fulfilled on the Day of the Feast, His Burial happened on the Feast of Unleavened Bread, (He is our Unleavened Bread) and His resurrection was on the Feast of First Fruits, (He is the First fruits unto God), and the Holy Spirit was poured out at on the very Day of the Feast of Pentecost! The next Feast Day to be fulfilled is the Feast of Trumpets. The Apostle Paul tells us in Thes 4 that the Lord will come with a shout at the 'last Trump', and the dead shall be raised, and we, who are alive and remain, shall be caught up together to meet them in the clouds. During the Feast of Trumpets  the shofarot is sounded every day, and the LAST TRUMPET blast (of the shofarot) sounds this year on what day? The 23rd of September, 2017! There's more. But, the point is that the Lord is coming most likely this September and we need to get our focus on Him. He promised to come back for His Bride, and we are foolish to continue to think of His return as being forever in the distant future. All of the other signs the Lord Jesus mentioned in Mat 24 have been fulfilled and as He said, they are ramping up just like labor pains do. The Woman, giving birth as depicted in the Heavens, is bringing forth His Body. The language Paul uses in Thes 4 "caught up" is used in the Rev 12 passage also. Verse 5 says, "…her child was caught up unto God, and to His Throne." It's the picture of His Body being raptured, and caught up into Heaven. Are you READY? Are you SAVED?

Of course 2 Peter 3-4 says, "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation". So, to those who believe the Word of God there is only one thing that matters…does He know you? "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity," Matthew 7:21-23. So, how can we be sure? Once again, it is the Word of God that gives the answer. No doctrine, no teaching, no other 'gospel' is sufficient. What does GOD have to say? 2 Cor 13:5, "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves". We know we are 'in the faith' when we agree with God. He said in Romans 10:9&10, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation". That's it. It's that simple. Everything else becomes His business to perform in us over time. But, first, be sure you are standing on the right foundation! If you have believed the Lord Jesus, and have confessed that you believe Him, then your life is in God's hands, and He will teach you everything else you need to know. We get confused, because too many have made Salvation about behavior. Philippians 1:6, "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ…". You are His business. Just don't think you are saved because you've been going to church your whole life, or because you are busy doing 'Christian things', or because you were raised in a Christian household, or because you belong to a particular sect, or denomination. Those things are not what God says you need. You need Him, and having these other things is not the same. His Blood alone avails for our Salvation. I want to leave you with one more thing. The only way to please God, is through faith. When we trust Him for our Salvation, and we lean on Him for our lives. When we ask Him to direct our paths, to correct us when we are wrong, and to search us and try us to see if there be any wicked way in us, He is pleased. 1 Corinthians 2:5-16, "…your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. …But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God… But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."

I hope this information is helpful to you and yours in these difficult days. This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man". Salvation is defined in Romans 10:9-13, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Come Out From Among Them.

Several times yesterday, as I looked at the Scriptures, I came across admonitions about marriage in unexpected places, and now, this morning it happened again. So, I looked up 'put away' and right away I saw some things that struck me. The first use is in Genesis 35:2 when Jacob told his household to put away the strange gods that were among them. But, before that, the crappy search engine brought up something interesting in Genesis 21:14, Where Abraham sends Hagar away. Now, Hagar was a servant and the reason Abraham was sending her away, along with his son, Ishmael, was because Ishmael was the feeble attempt of Sarah (Abraham's wife) to 'obey' God within the limits of her understanding. She was getting old, and the promise of God to her and Abraham for a son, had not come to pass, so she figured out how to do the only thing she could think of to fix it. Under Hammurabi's Code, if a woman was barren, it was legal for her to have a child by her servant. The servant, Hagar, became her surrogate and gave birth to Ishmael. Years later, when God did what He said He would do, and Sarah, herself, gave birth to the son of promise, although she was 90 years old, Hagar was there, mocking. So, she asked Abraham to send her away. There is so much in this story! First, God does not need our help! If HE actually said He's going to do thus and so, He will do it. We are often tempted to think we need to step it up, that it's taking too long, that we're SUPPOSED to DO something. But, that is not the case at all. We are required to wait. When it is impossible for us, God will get the glory! Secondly, applying the law to spiritual things brings forth death. The letter killeth but the spirit giveth life. The son that Hagar birthed is still here...ISIS is STILL claiming that the birthright is theirs! This illustration is very important for our spiritual understanding. But, back to Gen 35. After Abraham, came Isaac and then Jacob. In Jacob, we see a man whose name means 'deceiver', and his mother, Rebecca, do the very same thing. They knew what God had said, that Jacob would get the birthright, but they thought they needed to 'help'. Jacob is revealed as a man with very little faith. It wasn't until he was between the proverbial 'rock and a hard place' that he wrestled with the Lord, finally coming to the conclusion that all his cleverness and manipulation could not save him. God had intervened and saved him from the wrath of his father in law, but his brother, Esau, was coming with 400 men and the possibility that none of his family would escape drove him into the arms of a Mighty God, who's answer was to permanently cripple him. Jacob learned a lesson that night...he would know that God was the only One who could keep him safe. But, even then we find his household full of idols! In Gen 34 Jacob scolds his sons for the murders they committed in the surrounding communities as they 'avenged' the rape of their sister. God said ,you're in the wrong place...go up and dwell in Bethel, (the house of God!) So, Jacob is cleaning house in the 35th chapter! Now, here is one of the Patriarchs. He has weak faith, his house is out of control, and full of idolatry right under his nose. He says, "Put Away" the false gods. How much more can we be idolatrous, out of control, and out of order, even though we hear from God, or God is dealing with us, or God has been merciful to us? This is what is happening today. We have aligned ourselves with God, but we don't believe Him. If the civil laws around us will serve our desires and the world around us says it's OK, then we do what we want to do, instead of waiting on God. We fill our houses with the idols of the day. Ungodly ideologies, ungodly pastimes, and ungodly behaviors. It's interesting to me that when God speaks about how it was in the days of Noah, He says, Mat 24:38, "For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark". That doesn't sound so bad does it? The Scriptures also say, 1 Corinthians 10:6-8, "Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand". And Genesis 6:5, "...God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually". What we think is not what God thinks. When our attention is on this world and on ourselves, He calls it evil. What can we do? RUN to Him! As fast as you can, every time you realize you are doing it. ASK Him to show you IF there is any wicked way in you.. He will correct us, He will lead us in the way everlasting.

The Wilderness

Thinking this morning about Abraham. God promised Abraham that all the Nations in the Earth would be blessed through him. God promised Abraham and his wife Sarah, a son. That son was a miracle as Sarah was 90 years old before he was born! God was fulfilling His Word to Eve, that although the Serpent that deceived her would bruise HIS heel, HE would CRUSH his head. That Seed, the HE God was referring to, was Christ who came through Abraham's seed. I was thinking of the many years that passed from the time Abraham bore the son of Promise, Isaac, and Isaac bore Jacob (whose name was changed to Israel), and Jacob bore his own 12 sons. Those sons had borne children, and their children bore children until they numbered in the millions. They grew to a Nation under the wing of Pharaoh, in the land of Egypt. One time favored, they eventually became slaves in the land where they languished for 400 years. These were the twelve tribes of Israel, God's People. God, in all of His great mercy provided a savior to lead His People out of Egypt into the Land He had promised to Abraham. That great leader, Moses, obeyed God. He was called the Friend of God, and the meekest man on Earth. Now, what I wanted to get to is that those whom GOD called His own, wandered in the Wilderness for 40 years. They complained that they wanted meat, they were afraid of running out of water, they had questions about Moses' authority, and leadership, and they thought that they would die in the desert. All of those things seem reasonable, naturally speaking. But, God recorded everything that happened to His People as lessons, pictures, for us. What do we want? What do we worry about? What do we use our strength for? What are we bound and determined to have? Not everyone that is aligned with God, known as 'His People', are right with God! I saw the great masses of people in the world, as an ocean wave, rushing...mingling with the clear waters. On the extreme sides, it was obvious as to who was who. The dark, muddy waters vs. the pure, clear water. It was where they met that was murky and unclear. These are pictures of what calls itself the 'church'. Jesus said it would be mixed, like a loaf of leavened bread (leaven always being presented in Scripture as evil doctrine), and like a grain of mustard seed, which would grow up into a massive tree and the birds of the air would nest in it's branches, (again, birds of the air are images God uses to depict unclean spirits). Strange things to find in the 'church'. Going back to the Children of Israel, wandering in the desert. God was preparing a body for Himself through Judah. The genealogy of Christ is found in Matthew's gospel, and in Luke's gospel. It splits in David's sons, Solomon, and Nathan. One line goes to Mary and the other to Joseph, (Mary's husband). The point being that the actual line going through Abraham is a very narrow one...father to son. So, although the entire Nation came underneath the umbrella of being 'God's People', very few had hearts that were after Him. Most, were just like the mixed waters, and the leavened bread, part of the huge tree that God has planted in the Earth. This is a very important point, because this mixed people is what God addresses over and over, warning them just like He did those in the Wilderness. God knows those that belong to Him, but not everyone that says they belong to God, is His child. Not everyone that sayeth unto Me, Lord, Lord, will enter into life. The entire generation, save for a very few, fell in the Wilderness, "Surely none of the men who came up from Egypt, from twenty years old and above, shall see the land of which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOT WHOLLY FOLLOWED ME, except Caleb…and Joshua…for they have wholly followed the LORD". (Numbers 32:11-12). Romans 11:7-8 "...What the people of Israel sought so earnestly they did not obtain. The elect among them did, but the others were hardened, as it is written: “GOD GAVE THEM a spirit of stupor, eyes that could not see and ears that could not hear, to this very day.” and verses 20-22, "But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. DO NOT BE ARROGANT, BUT TREMBLE. For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either. Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off". It is difficult to express (especially in a few words) exactly what this means for you and me. But, very simply...God's wants ALL of us, ALL of our lives, just like He gave His all FOR us. We cannot come OUR OWN WAY. We cannot pick and choose what we believe of His Word and what we will do, or not do, and make it how we want it. Unfortunately, those to whom I am referring will not read anything like this. They will not allow themselves to be troubled, they will continue to do what they want to do. But, I am bound before God to tell you what I see, whether or not you choose to open your eyes. This is where the battle rages for the souls of men. Romans 12:1-2, "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God". IF WE INSIST ON WHAT WE WANT, GOD WILL GIVE IT TO US. THIS IS NOT A GOOD THING. HIS WAY, HIS DESIRE IS BETTER. LET IT GO...IT'S NOT WORTH ETERNITY.

The End Times from Matthew's Gospel

Thinking about the 10 virgins, I decided to look at the Scriptures again. In doing so, I had to go back into the previous chapter (Mat 24), to where Jesus started answering questions from his disciples about the 'end of the world'. I found out quite a lot and wish to share it with you, because we 'pick up' ideas along the Way. The Lord speaks in a progression, and there are layers of like things happening as the Time get shorter. He starts from a wide perspective talking about what will happen in the world, false Christs, wars, famines, epidemics, and earthquakes, then He tightens up the view to talk about a more personal experience, where Christians are 'delivered up' to be afflicted, killed and hated, and then He gets even more personal by talking about many becoming offended, betrayals, hate, false prophets (or teachers), and that the love of many will become cold. All these things have already happened. I have links to lists of people claiming to be Christ, lists of wars, famines, epidemics and earthquakes which are really eye-opening. Summarizing further...He talks about 'the beginning of sorrows', enduring to the end, the Gospel being preached to all Nations and then the End shall come. All this in verses 3-14. Daniel 12 also throws light on these words, referring to how it was in the days of Noah. Then in verses 16-20, we land in the middle of the Tribulation period, and shoot forward to the Lord's second coming and how that's going to look. All the tribes of the Earth will mourn...so they will see Him for sure! And it's summed up with a dramatic depiction of lightening, sun and moon darkening, stars falling, and the powers of heaven being shaken. He says in verses 32-34 that when we see 'all these things' know it is near, and that the generation (he repeats) seeing 'all these things' will not pass until 'all these things' be fulfilled. That's us. No man knows the day nor the hour of these things. Heaven and Earth will pass away, but His Words will not pass away!
Then there's a big BUT. Matthew 24:37, "But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be". The conversation changes and He begins to talk about something else that needs to be discussed. They didn't understand until it was too late, in the days of Noah. Then He talks about 2 in the field, one taken the other left...2 grinding at the mill, one taken the other left. and tells us to WATCH. On the one hand, He is described as coming in glory, and on the other hand, as a thief in the night. He says if you knew when the thief planned to come, you'd be ready.
I know this is long, but this is so important! He describes being ready. Mat 24:45-51. He will come suddenly for those who are READY. Continuing in Chapter 25, He tells the parable of the 10 virgins. Now, we've gone from looking at the world as a whole, to looking at those in the world that claim to be His own. They all went out (from the world/hence they were 'virgins') to meet the Bridegroom. The wise had OIL, and the foolish did not have OIL. Major point. The Holy Spirit is often compared with OIL. The Scriptures say, Romans 8:9, "But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his'. You must have OIL. If you need oil, you must ask God for it, asking others for it will not do. Mat 25: 8-9, " And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves". While they were trying to get oil, the Bridegroom came, and the Door was shut. The Lord expects us to be READY. The next verses are the Parable of the Talents. All were given talents (money as an investment, not talent like singing). Two were profitable, and one just hid the money. The Lord expects us to be PROFITABLE servants. The Lord ended His teaching by describing the Judgment Seat. He gathers all Nations. He separates His sheep, from the goats. He reveals their hearts, and He pronounces judgment. We will all stand before Him. We need to be real. We need to understand. Daniel 12:10, "Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand". Hosea 14:9, "Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the Lord are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein".
