A Study on 'Works'

Light shines out through works. Works are the 'rays'. Like the sun...true faith must shine forth in the form of good works.
Works generated by the flesh instead of the Spirit are dead..."even our good works are as filthy rags before Him"
All of the works done by Jesus were, as He said, 'not of Himself, but done as He heard from the Father'. Works do not please God, Faith pleases God. Our works will be judged. Matthew 16:27, "For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works". Our works were prepared for us before the foundation of the Earth, just like Jesus'. Ephesians 2:10, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."
John 5:36, "But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me". John 6:28&29, "Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.".
Good News! John 6:37-40, "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.". John 14:12, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.".
In Acts 2, it is revealed that the Arabs received the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, and yet, it was the Arabs that spread Islam to so much of the world, having rejected that glorious gospel received on the day of Pentecost.
Romans 3:27, "Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith".
Romans 4:1-8, "What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin".
Romans 9:30-33, "What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith. But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness. Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone; As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed".
Romans 13:7-14, "Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour. Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.  And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof". Mary is our example...she and Martha were with Jesus, but Martha attended to her perceived responsibilities, and Mary simply attended to Jesus. She was absorbed in His presence and sat, waiting, at His feet, just as we should do. Let us forget our perceived responsibilities...they will get done in His time. We do not have to fret about them, but remember Mary in all her simplicity. II Cor 11:3&4, "But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him".
Galatians 2:16, "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified."
Galatians 3:2, "This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?"
Galatians 3:5, "He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?"
Galatians 3:10, "For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them".
Galatians 5: 1-5, "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith."
Galatians 5: 13-25, "For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit."
Titus 3:8&9, "This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain". So, whatever we do, we do it to the Lord...waiting on Him, resting in Him, trusting in Him, and knowing that even when our heart condemns us, that He is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. For all things are of Him, through Him, and to Him. Therefore, we present our bodies unto Him as a living sacrifice that we may prove what is that good, aceptable, and perfect will of God.
Hebrews 4:10, "For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his".
Revelation 2:23, "And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works". Oh that we might work the works of God, not of ourselves. That we may not be presumptuous, but walk humbly with our God, listening and watching for His lead, resting in the knowledge that He is ever with us and that He promised to guide us with His eye as we acknowledge Him in all our ways! This is what the Book of James refers to...the works that are born of faith. Works that result because of faith. Good works are easily imitated, so we must examine ourselves to see whether we be in the faith and God will then judge. Remember that those who stand before Him in the Judgement will be befuddled because they did good works in His Name, but He did not know who they were! While those whom He praised said, 'when did we do these things?'. Make your calling and foundation sure. Search the Scriptures asking God to give you discernment that you may rightly divide them. He that is of full age has his senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

Bones

I have spent a great deal of time watching a fictional TV series called "Bones", which is a story about a forensic scientist's (Bones) adventures in solving crimes using her skill in studying the evidence inscribed in the bones of the victims. This is exactly the answer to questions about God and the Bible. In the stories, the evidence surrounding the case can be interpreted in many ways, but Bones gathers her evidence from studying the bones of the victim. Such evidence is brought before a judge and jury along with the many theories of the defense for the purpose of finding and exposing the murderer. It is only because of Bones' great skill and ability to see and hear what the bones are saying that the truth is eventually discovered. The truth is always beyond reproach because the evidence in the bones is empirical. So it is in life. All of us can have our opinions, philosophies, and probabilities based on the evidence as we see it, but there is only one Truth. Developing the skill and ability to look at the empirical evidence and to rightly decipher it only comes by much study and experience along with the motivation to want to know for sure, and the desire to be willing to look, to study, and to keep looking, thinking and considering what the bones might be saying. In the story, Bones is the only  one with such qualifications. There are others that are learning, (her interns), and there are experts in surrounding disciplines which must often be consulted in order to get to the bottom of the mystery. I see the bones as the Word of God. The truth is inscribed there, but we must develop the ability and the skill to master the discipline. To be able to look at the Word of God for evidence of the truth as is stated. Too often, those handling the bones have already come to a conclusion using their own opinions or the opinions of others, then they try to use the bones support their conclusion. The evidence in the bones has not changed, but the ones looking at them refuse to see it. In order to walk humbly with our God, we must acknowledge that the truth is there in the evidence He has given to us. We must look at it honestly. In so doing we will find the empirical evidence we need to support our position no matter what other opinions fly about. We will all eventually stand in the courtroom, before the judge; we must be sure of our position. If our conclusions are based on the opinions of others we will not be able to stand…another will win the case.
John 5:39, "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me".

Acts 17:11, "…they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so".

Demons Manifesting as Alien Extraterrestrials

http://endtimeheadlines.wordpress.com/2014/01/06/%E2%80%8Bif-we-down-at-least-one-ufo-well-be-facing-an-interstellar-war-former-defense-minister-of-canada/

If you listen to this video, please be aware...a search for "tall whites" (TW) leads to the page, 'Charles Hall and the Tall Whites' who makes a connection between the TW and the Sumerian deities, the Anunnaki, "They are not the famous "Anunnaki." In fact they long ago lost a war against the Anunnaki for the mastery of this system", which leads me to believe that we are talking about manifestations of demons here. Wikipedia - "... the term Anunnakku (Anuna) was later used to refer to the gods of the underworld." Mark 13:22, "For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect." Don't believe the extraterrestrial bull...Ephesians 6:12, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." and Colossians 1:16, "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him".

False Prophets

Hebrews 5:14, "But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil."

Jeremiah 23:16-32, "16 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the Lord.

17 They say still unto them that despise me, The Lord hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.

18 For who hath stood in the counsel of the Lord, and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard it?

19 Behold, a whirlwind of the Lord is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.

20 The anger of the Lord shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.

21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.

22 But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.

23 Am I a God at hand, saith the Lord, and not a God afar off?

24 Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.

25 I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.

26 How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart;

27 Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.

28 The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the Lord.

29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the Lord; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

30 Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the Lord, that steal my words every one from his neighbour.

31 Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the Lord, that use their tongues, and say, He saith.

32 Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the Lord, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the Lord."

A Mockery

Trinity Broadcasting Network came to my attention a few months ago, when it's founder, Paul Crouch died on November 30, 2013. I came across a video wherein a 'prophetess' was rebuking Paul Crouch, Jr.(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_ZXdrrg8b8&feature=youtu.be). I wouldn't ordinarily just say someone is, or isn't, a prophet...I watched it in order to see what this woman had to say, but what caught my attention was that the man currently serving as the Director of Project Development for The Word Network, and best known for his long association with the Trinity Broadcasting Network, the man she was rebuking, has no grasp of the Word of God. None! This is shocking! The person at the helm of these huge organizations supposedly designed to reach the world with the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the LOGOS...the WORD made flesh, does not know the Scripture. What???!!! Last night I came upon the newest iteration of this organization "The Holy Land Experience" in Orlando, Fl. Apparently, this theme park is a mock up of all of the most popular imagery of Christendom, where you can see it all happen, just the way that the producers imagine it did. Mock up = Mockery people! Our Lord Jesus warned against the leaven of the Sadducees and the Pharisees...that state of mind wherein one thinks himself to be all that. Mat 16:11-12, "How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees? Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees". The Pharisees and Sadducees were all about the show. They loved to pray on the street corners, wearing their long robes. They loved the chief seats at the Synagogue, they loved to anoint their heads with oil and put on a long face when they fasted, so that everybody would know and understand, that they were the religious elite, the religious rulers whom all should revere. Mat 23:1-8, "Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, Saying The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren." Jesus did not put on a show. He often told those He touched NOT to tell anyone about it. When he raised the dead He did it behind closed doors. He didn't go around lifting up Himself, instead He humbled Himself, (Matthew 8:4, Matthew 16:20, Matthew 17:9, Mark 7:36, Mark 8:30, Mark 9:9, Luke 5:14). Especially egregious is the Communion show at this 'park'. Paul said that "...he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. FOR THIS CAUSE many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep," (1 Cor 11:29-30). MANY sleep. This word is from the Strong's Concordance #G2837 and means DIE. So much is wrong with this disgraceful display! Yet, that is not to say that God does not use it. He uses everything! When Paul was in prison he wrote that there were those who "indeed preach(ed) Christ even of envy and strife...not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to (his) bonds....". Paul was thankful anyway, that the gospel was preached, (Phil 1:15-18). But, just because God is able to use burnt toast, do we then offer Him burnt toast? Hebrews 5:11-14, "...we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil." This verse describes the people behind the Theme Park as well as those who go there, who are content with the superficial, who do not realize the power of the Word of God, 2 Tim 3:5, "...having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof...". Many, many are being deceived. The 'faithful' who sit in church year after year, who can regurgitate what the preacher has said and who dearly believe it, but who have never searched the Scriptures for themselves, or relied on the strong arm of God, but only on the platitudes and second-hand information that they recite amongst themselves. They know ABOUT God, they believe what they've been told ABOUT God, they heap up teachers, having itching ears, but they do not know HIM. They are apt to follow anyone whose speech falls within their 'zone', but they cannot discern the Spirit of God. Many preachers and teachers are presumptuous believing that they are obeying God, and run to do His 'will' when they have not heard from Him. They will not WAIT on Him. They lean to their own understanding and they totally miss Him.
LOOK at the parable of the 10 virgins, Mat 25:1-12, "Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not". The five foolish virgins are without oil in their lamps, (Romans 8:9, "Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his", 1 Sam 16:13 shows how that the Holy Spirit is likened to oil). So, instead of going to God, who alone can give the gift of the Holy Spirit, they went to those who sell. Who sells the spirit?? TBN for one? and they were shut out.
LOOK at the Scriptures wherein we stand at the Judgment. 2 Timothy 4:1-4, "I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom...For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables". So many in that day will say these words, "Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?" They THOUGHT they had done God's will; but the righteous said, 'when did we do that?' One was for show, the other was without thought for the show, but only for the person.
Acts 17:11
"These were more noble...in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so". Amen.
**Here is a video that I came upon today speaking to the same subject...if I could delete the commercials I would, but it is worth listening to! http://www.wnd.com/2013/12/could-this-be-the-great-end-times-deception/

The Shaking has Begun

A Distress Call - Starting on December 25,  the Lord woke me up to let the dogs out. Wondering why the Lord would do that, I laid back down to wait for them not wanting to fall asleep, because I didn't want to leave them out in the frigid weather. As I nodded off the Lord woke me again…but this time with an almost 'playful' poking in the stomach, (like multiple fingers tickling me kind of hard). I turned towards my husband, Earl. He was facing away from me, and said, "Earl, did you shake me?", (I didn't know what else to call it). I said it at least twice,  but he was asleep and didn't answer me. At the same moment I was awakened, the dogs scratched at the door so I got up, as Earl wasn't answering me, and let them in. I couldn't understand why the Lord would wake me for something so benign, but then the phone rang. It was my son, David. He was telling me that the police were going to get a search warrant to  search their trailer. He was just recently put on probation, so to be picked up by the police would be devastating. But, then he had to get off of the phone because someone was at the door. As I hung up the phone I felt like it was more than I could bear, because of all of the things that have happened in the past year, and because, if David gets arrested, he's going away for at least a few years, (or more). But, then, as I got up to go to the bathroom, the Lord spoke to me that if He cared so much about the dogs, how much more did He care about David? If He knows what the dogs are doing, and what I am doing, doesn't He know all about David? And then again, while I was in the bathroom, He said, * "...pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment spotted by the flesh..." and then, **"This is the chastening of the Lord". So, my heart was comforted, and I was able to deal with the rest of the uncomfortable events that were to happen before dawn.
The Shaking - on 12/26, on this day, Earl and I went over to the trailer park to check on David, as he did not call me back the night before. As we arrived, we could see that the police were there. They had detained my ex-daughter-in-law Melissa, and had David in custody. They were searching the trailer at that moment. I was talking to the police officer standing guard trying to fill him in as to some of David and Melissa's history, because the whole reason David was in peril had to do with Melissa's ongoing treachery. Turned out, I had been talking to the Police Chief the whole time. I don't think I would've had that opportunity in any other scenario. He let us look in the trailer for our belongings and also talk to David. I was able to give him Earl's sweatshirt as he was naked except for pajama bottoms, and to tell him that the Lord said it was His chastening. He only wanted me to 'take care of Melissa' and to get the electronics out of the trailer.                                                                                                                                                                                                      I was awakened again…someone shook me awake. This was not playful, it seemed urgent. Why? Again, I looked over at Earl with the same questions as the previous night, (did you shake me??) and again, he was asleep and did not answer me; (both times, I was on the very edge of the bed, facing away from Earl toward the middle of the room when I was moved from the direction of the center of the room). In the morning, I told Earl what happened and he said, ***'Whatever can be shaken, will be shaken'. And, I said, "that's not what that means Earl". But, later that day, without intending to,  I saw the same word, in the same context, on my computer. Then I did a study of the word, 'shaken'. Also, this is not something new to me...God has imprinted this idea on my heart long ago...that He is about to shake everything that can be shaken.
A Cry of Danger - 12/27, the next day, I read 'The Harbinger', by Jonathan Cahl and came across the same verse again in the context of the Lord's Judgement that began in NYC on 9/11! At that point I believed that the Lord was speaking to me saying that 'the shaking has begun'. First He shook me, then He told me what it meant, (through the voice of my Husband), then He verified it while I was on the computer (which details I can't remember).'                                                                                                                               That night in the early a.m. David's son, Darrell, (20 years old),  anxiously called up to us, saying that someone was outside, and had knocked on his bedroom window. Earl went outside and circled the house, and I went out onto the front porch, turning on the lights. No one was in evidence. Why was I awakened again in the middle of the night? What was the danger? What was the Lord saying?

On 12/28, I realized that I had been awakened in the middle of the night three times in a row. Twice, by the Lord Himself. Once almost playfully, letting me know He is in control of every situation, then more urgently, and then a cry from Darrell, thinking that someone was trying to break in. What is the Lord saying? Reading the Harbinger seemed to tie it together, as the Lord spoke of warning and judgment, of love and of returning. He is at work in our Nation, but it continues to run from Him. David is in jail. His, ex-wife Melissa, whom he has tried to hold onto against all reason,  has fled.

1 Corinthians 11:32, "But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world."

So...
  • From outside the house…an urgent call of distress and the comfort of God showing me that He knows.
  • From in my bedroom, an urgent awakening and the verification of God about shaking what can be shaken
  • From inside the house, an alarm
  • From outside the house, a prophecy of nine harbingers which were ignored by this Nation, and that there will be a second, and a third shaking.

We are being shaken...as individuals, as a family, as a Nation. This Nation affects the whole world. And the Heavens also will be shaken. The time is upon us. We must be rooted and grounded in the faith, built upon the Rock which is Christ, that we may able to stand as everything around us comes apart.

*Jude 1:23
"...And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh."

"...But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world."

***Hebrews 12:25-26
"See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:
26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
29 For our God is a consuming fire."

Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth

In a recent post on Before It's News, there was some controversy regarding Romans 8:1, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit"...here are my comments:
2 Tim 2:15, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." Heb 5:13 &14, "...For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil."
If you want to understand Romans 8:1 you need to read the whole book of Romans. The first seven chapters of Romans address the problem of sin ending with the cry "...who shall deliver me from the body of this death?" The answer is given in chapter eight. So,

  • First (chp 1-7) we must realize that we are sinners by nature... Romans 3:10-12, "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one."
  • Second, that our attempt to please God in our own strength results in the agony of chp 7, (read Galatians 5 for further clarification). And,
  • Third, that the answer is understanding that it is not our concerted effort to please God that pleases Him, but knowing that because all things of of Him, through Him, and to Him, (Romans 11:36), we walk by faith, having ceased from our own works (Hebrew 4: 1-3 & 10).
Jesus Christ is the author and finisher of our faith, (Heb 12:2), and that without faith it is impossible to please Him, (Heb 11:6). Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God, (Rom 10:17).As you read through the Word, the Holy Spirit will reveal His truth.
Romans 9:16, "So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy." If your mindset is to indulge yourself (your SELF), you will find that either God will chasten you, (Heb 12:6), or reveal you in the judgement, (Mat 25).

John 5:39, "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
Acts 17:11, "These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so."
Romans 8:27, "And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God."
1 Corinthians 2:10, "But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God."
